L'histoire
Nick Marshall is a bike fitter on the Riviera — the person triathletes and cyclists see when a position needs to be faster, more comfortable, or both. We filmed and photographed him at work in July 2026, fitting a time-trial bike in the days before Ironman Nice.
Millimetres
A fit is a conversation between a body and a machine. Nick reads the rider — strengths, asymmetries, old injuries — then turns it into tiny changes: pad height, reach, saddle, cleats. We stayed close to the hands, because that's where the work is.
Race Week
A race number on the bench, tools laid out, a white TT bike on the stand. Everything in the room points to one day on the roads above Nice — and to getting a rider there in a position they can hold for hours.
